Llama 101

Fall in Love with a Llama!

This one hour introductory course on the nature and nurture of llamas is available by reservation for all age groups.

A hands on experience, you will go through all the steps in preparing a llama to work for you: catching, haltering, grooming, saddling and, of course, leading and/or riding (if student is less than 90 pounds). During this experience you will also learn about the nature of llama behaviour, their likes and dislikes, their diet, their language and, best of all, their unique disposition and sensitivity to those around them.

Harold tailors the course to the ages and interests of the students. It can be extended into a longer experience by incorporating a packing component, so you can have your picnic lunch at one of the picnic tables located along the farm trails.

Reservations Advised!

In order to guarantee availability, it is wise to make a reservation when you book your Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Of course, you will come prepared with suitable footwear (sturdy, closed) and clothing that suits the weather and other conditions when working with animals. Every effort will be made to ensure that both you and the llamas enjoy the experience.

Fee: $30.00 for two llamas/1 hour
